Supermom Mania

  •
OUR WINNER! Sherry: This is my beautiful mom with all 9 (yes that's right, NINE) children. She is an amazing woman and has been raising the youngest children as a single mom for the past 4 years since our father passed away. She never thinks twice about putting us before her own needs, and helps us out in every way. There's no way we could ever repay her for all she's done. A little pampering would be so nice for her!
  •
Angie: After my dad passed away, I wondered how my mother would financially be able to support all of us; myself and my 2 brothers especially when we were soon off to college. As a small retail store owner who took a huge hit like most during the recession, she somehow prevailed and managed to not only put me and my brother through 4 years of college, but we were able to live comfortably. She made so many sacrifices for herself so that we wouldn't be stressed out about money while we were in school. She put our needs and even wants before hers. She has always bent over backwards to make us happy. I just finished my last semester of college yesterday and am graduating in a week. I would love nothing more than to give her a huge "Mother's Day thank you" for setting me up to have a stable and happy life. Because of her, I have no college debt. I hope I could be half the woman, mom, and friend that she is. Thanks mama for everything you have done for me during my life. You're my best friend; my hero. And guess what....I LOVE YOU MORE!!
  •
Kristin: We wanted to nominate our mom because she is so awesome! There are four of us and that is alot. I know that my mom could use the break and since I don't have much money other than allowance I would like if I could win this for her. We will cross our fingers!
  •
Misty: My mom deserves to not just be nominated. She deserves to win. Mom had me when she was 16, but that did not keep her from finishing high school. She graduated with her class in '94 and graduated with honors. She later had my younger brother and sister. There father adopted me, but passed away. He died when I was 7 (I am now 20) My brother was 9 months old and mom was pregnant with my sister when he passed. Mom married again about 5 years ago, and now has a 10 month old, my baby brother. 10 days after she had my little brother, I accidentally shot myself in the leg. She drove to Winston everyday for a week until they gave her a place to stay for the next 2 weeks. She said, she had to take care of all of her babies and would do what it took. She hated leaving me in the hospital, but couldn't leave my baby brother either as she was breast feeding him. She came to see me everyday while still taking care of Zack and Kylie (My 13 and 12 year old brother and sister) and Elijah (my baby brother) Not only was she taking care of all of us but, she was going to school in order to make our lives better. She lost her job in the midst of her maternity leave and struggled to make ends meet. She graduated last Friday with an associates degree. She says she does this because we need to know how important an education is. My mom takes donations of hats and scarves and delivers them to cancer patients. She also helps me take donations of gently used shoes and delivers them to homeless people. My mom's dream is to move to Wilmington, so this would be the best Mother's Day present ever for her. I hope you guys can help me make this an amazing Mother's Day for her, she really deserves it. Did I mention, she also helps take care of everyone in our family? We have Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners at mom's with extended family. If she didn't cook, they wouldn't come. Mom says it is important for family to be together. Her mom (my grandmother) and her brother (my uncle) have also lived with her, and she took care of them. She is the biggest family person I know. Help me to help her for once, instead of her always looking out for others, she needs something for herself.
  •
Denise: My Mom is my rock! She's a single Mom who has raised her two daughters on her own. She is a very strong individual and works hard for everything she has gotten. She has not been on vacation since her daughters were in their early teen years. They are both in their mid-twenties now. She is definitely a Supermom to me because she has shown me that you don't have to have both parents to raise two children, and with determination and struggle you can be the independent person she has raised me to be.
  •
Katie: I nominate myself! I have a one year old and a full time job and I work my butt off just to make ends meet and spend on my extra time and money on my baby. I deserve this! and need this!
  •
Michelle: My mother had me in 1990 at 14 years old and has raised both myself and my little brother as a single mom for the majority of her life. Now at 23 years old, I feel it is my turn to give something back to her because of everything she has done for me. She is a great and loving mother and deserves to be known as a "super mom" because she truly is.
  •
Cindy: My mom does EVERYTHING around my house! She deserves this award more than ANYONE!
  •
Linda: My mom was a single mother most of my life, she did whatever she had to do to make sure I always had what I needed. She has been though a lot of ups and downs and puts her family (me) first, ALWAYS! Does alot for the community, such a strong, independant person.
  •
Kim: My mother should be chosen for this contest because she is the most loving and compassionate person I know. She will do anything for her kids and anyone in need. She works at a cancer center and treats every patient that comes in like it was her own family member. After dealing with a stressful and sometimes sad day at work she always come home without complaining about anything to take care of us. She was a single mother when I was born and that didn't stop her. She put herself through school and still gave me all my needs and wants. She is the strongest person I know.
  •
Shirley: My Mom has been an amazing provider and friend. I love her more than life itself and she has taught me so much & made me the Mother I am today. She deserves the best of everything and if I can help with that I want to.
  •
Kelly: my mom is a mother of five and a two time cancer survivor, she stays home to take care of all of us and even took on a granddaughter who has lived with us since birth .she also plays roller derby for kannapolis rollergirls and just shaved her head to help st.baldricks foundation to help find a cure for childrens cancer, my mom is the bravest mom ever
  •
Megan: my mom asks so little, gives so much...like a flower, and she named me after one! My name is Lily & I am 10. My mom deserves to win this prize as she doesn't ever do anything for herself. She always puts her family first. She helps my dad out at his bagel shop, she is the first one to dress up at any school event, has the house with the most kids over, is very kind, funny and I want to give back to her. She has been asking my dad to get the cartilage on her nose fixed and I would love if I could help with that! She never misses a school trip, she throws the best birthday parties for me, my mom rocks! Lily Rippner
  •
Sarah: She is amazing and would really enjoy this trip as Wilmington is her favorite place and the last time she was there she was pregnant and didn't even know it yet. She works hard everyday to help dad provide for the family.
  •
    Stephanie: My mother, Stephanie, is the most amazing mom any daughter could ever ask for. This woman raised my sister, my brother and I as a single mother. After everything she has been through, she still manages to find time for us. She is my inspiration and I look up to her in hopes that one day I will grow up to be just like her. Thank you. {In the photo, she is located in the middle of the group}
  •
Christine: My single mom is amazing. She works two jobs seven days a week and still has time to send me silly texts telling me she loves me. She has done everything for my brother and I all by herself. She deserves to be taken care of for once!
  •
Sonja: My Mom has been through so much, came down with copd, stage 4 infazema, and a horrible place to be. Yet she still helped me home from a horrible person. She is fun, and smiling through. I want the best for her, and she doesn't know I'm doing this yet. It's a surprise.
  •
Christina: Me, my sisters, and step brother chose my mom because she is a hard worker. She goes to work from 7am-4pm and leaves work and goes straight to school from 4:30pm-10pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday every week. Our mom does everything she can for us. She takes us to cheer leading competitions to sporting events. Also, gets us things that we need/want. One word to describe our mom is that she is irreplaceable. We love you mom!(:
  •
Carnita: After raising two children of her own, my mother is now the caretaker of my grandmother. She never stops she carries the role of a daughter and a son, just the other day the put a roof on my grandmothers house, and she chops wood in a daily basis (thanks goodness for spring) last night she told me about planting her garden and the flowers in the yard! She never stops! After 49 years of giving to others she deserves a little something for herself! Love ya Mama!
  •
Sherri: My mom is a woman who has put anyone other than herself first. She is the epitome of a perfect mother who is loving, caring, giving, trustworthy, beautiful and thoughtful. Her attributes are infinite. My mom has been through many struggles in life and has always made it through each one with her head held high. Recently, my mom has overcome here nicotine addiction that had a tight grasp on her life for nearly 25 years. My family and I are extremely proud of her, and support her whole heartily. She exceeded everyone's expectations and continued to stick to her goal for herself and most importantly her family. After overcoming smoking my mom began to gain weight which was her worst fear of quitting smoking. Since August my mom has completely turned her life around for the better and I give her all the credit in the world. Today she lives a smoke free lifestyle so she can be healthy and go through all of the endeavors my two brothers and two sisters go through in the future. My mom has five children including myself and she does so much for all of us, and always makes us look on the brighter side of everything and always has the best advice. Through her weight loss journey she has become even more beautiful, happier and stronger, and I have the pleasure of witnessing her strength. I look up to her in so many ways and others who know her know exactly why. With her gigantic heart and willingness to do anything for others, she deserves a change of roles and some time for herself doing things that are purely for her and have the ability to relax and leave her worries at the door. She is the ULTIMATE super mom in more ways than there are stars in the sky. She deserves everything her heart desires; she is my rock, my world and so much more.
  •
Mabel-lee: She has done so much for our family. Words can't even describe how grateful I am to have her as my mother. She doesn't get the credit she deserves, so I think the least I can do for her is try to win her this amazing vacation that she really does need and deserve.
  •
Miss Jackie and Gram: Last June, a trip to the doctor for back pain ended with me being admitted into the hospital alone with a life threatening condition. I waited and called my mom (in Atlanta) and my Gram (85 yrs old) early the next morning to tell them. They both dropped everything to be by my side. It seemed that everyone had turned away but these two were there. I took this picture one day after coming from my routine doctor visits shortly after being released from the hospital. My poor mom and Gram had just climbed three flights of stairs. I just looked at them both with awe. I was so thankful for them loving me so much. To me they both looked so beautiful that day. So I took a picture. This is the picture that I took.
  •
Candiss: As much as I want to, it's difficult for me to be able to put into words what this lady (as she is, in every sense of the word) means to me... She is the most amazing person I know! My sister and I are extremely fortunate to have been raised by a wonderful woman!
  •
Carla: I love my momma! The photo of my mom shows her dedication to her family, and how she provides for us. My mom works hard to make our family a true family, and keeps us together by preparing food and just taking care of us. I know that my momma will always be there for me! She's the best!
  •
Vickie: My mom is hands down the greatest in the world. She is the most loving mother that always made sure I never went without while growing up, especially when giving me her love and attention. She has stood by my side through all of my hardest moments, as well as through the best (my wedding, the birth of my three children). She is a hard worker who went back to school to get her Master's degree from Clemson University, showing me that it is never too late to follow your dreams. She has been married to my dad for over thirty years, showing me what true love is really all about. She is a wonderful mother and, according to my children, the best nana in the whole wide world!
  •
Lina: She is an amazing mother and friend, a true Supermom! She is loving, caring and extremely thoughtful. Lina is so innovative and always impressing! She juggles three kids; a never ending household of chores; the mountain climbing laundry; cooking and entertaining for family; always finds work for herself as well as helping with her husband's work and finds time to lend a helping hand to others when they need it most! All the while always looking beautiful and fabulous! She deserves a well needed break to relax and feel as special as she is!
  •
Robin: My mother knows what it's like to have to struggle as a single mom. She's done it twice. Yet I never in my life felt like I was missing out on things, or like she didn't have time for my siblings or I. She is a strong, intelligent, beautiful and completely selfless individual who deserves some time that is all about her. I've seen people crack and crumble for lesser things than what she has gone through. She is a good woman who I can only aspire to be like. I love my mother so much, but I know it can never compare to how much she loves my siblings and I. She deserves this. She has earned it. She's been through so much. It's time someone rewards her for everything she has done for us. <3
  •
Brooke: My mom is a single mother of my brother 9 and me 12 she works hard for us and goes to school also. She always makes sure that we are at all our ball practices and games and that she is too. We don't have much money to do things and shes always talking about how nice it would be to take a vacation and I saw that one of the things is a get a away for her. Please pick my mom she's the bestest in the world to us anyway!!!!!!
  •

  •
Maritza: This lady is beyond words the most loving, caring, a giving mother in the world. She never knew her mom and made sure to be the best mom she could be for my brother and I. Everyday I look up to her and hope to be just as wonderful to my children as she is with us. Love you mom ! <3
  •
Amanda: She is the pretty women in the green top. My mom is awesome! She works full time; she is a nuclear medicine technologist. She has now gone back to school to become a massage therapist. She loves to help people and make them happy. My mom is also a supermom because she has recently lost a lot of weight, which she has been my inspiration to do the same. My mom is my best friend; I am the luckiest girl alive. Among her many talents, but she never makes time for herself and I wish she would do that for her. She deserves it. I mean who else's mom pays their daughters bar tab and not in a spoiled brat type of way. My mom taught me very early to be independent, without her I would hate to see what I would be like. She has taught me to never be ungracious, always treat others with respect, to be trustworthy. She always has been there for me, I love her with all my heart. I feel my mom truly deserves this. She is the definition of super mom!
  •
Thelma: She deserves to win because she runs a non profit independent living home for young adults who would otherwise be homeless if not for her help. She definitely works more than 40 hours a week helping these young adults learn how to thrive and be successful in this tough world. She's extremely loving and caring to everyone she meets. She's the best mom in the world and inspires me to open my heart to those less fortunate.
  •
Tanya: Our Mommy is the best! She has a tough life! Not only does she work full time but also runs a side photography business on her days off. There are three of us wild kids: Kade-6, Kambyll-4, and Paxtyn-7months. Our Daddy is a Sheriff Deputy and works A LOT, especially crazy hours so he can't always help out around the house. We love our Mommy because no matter how busy she is, she still cooks every night and cleans our house constantly. She is always there to help us make crafts, play outside, and have FUN. To make it even tougher, she broke her foot last week and can't walk around so fast anymore. But somehow she manages to get it all done and be the best Mommy ever. Please pick our Mom, the best ole gal in the world to win your contest! Sincerely, Kade, Kambyll, and Paxtyn
  •
Bobbie: My mom is absolutely the most amazing person, inside and out. She nurtures, supports, and provides for not only me, but my entire family. I have absolutely no clue what I would do without her and her many super powers! (Even though she likes her dog more than she likes her children!)
  •
Michelle: I nominated her because of how hard she works to provide what we need and want for our family . She has so many different things going in but manages to make time for me and my siblings. She is always smiling and making us laugh. She gives the best advice and is always there for me. She had been so stressed lately with many things but no matter how stressed she is she always makes my day better .

  •
April: She is a teen mom. She had her son at the age of 16 years old, and continued to go to school. She will graduate from Rutherford Spindale High School on June 8th. She is currently dual enrolled in college while going to high school also. She will be attending college full-time in the fall to pursue her Nursing degree. She is currently a CNA and has so much love for others. She's always putting everyone before herself. She is a single mom, and does everything herself, like buying diapers, food, wipes, etc. She has never asked for help from no one. And I really believe she deserves this. She has given up EVERYTHING, even all of her senior trips, meetings, and gatherings to stay home and be a mom. She has matured so much more than I have ever see any mother, especially with her being so young. I truly believe she deserves this prize.
  •
Leann: Our Mom has been the "wind beneath our wings". With a sorry father, she worked 3 and 4 jobs for our lunch money, dance classes and braces. She has survived 2 heart failures at age 36 (one bipass) and a brain tumor at age 44 where she had to learn how to talk, walk and write all over again. She is a living miracle. She also was cleared to help save her Brothers life who suffered AML by a bone marrow transplant, she ended up having to have a blood transfusion. He sadly passed a few months after transplant. But she is strong and loving and has gave up everything for us to have it all. She deserves this more than anyone I know. She never took her eyes off the Lord even in the darkest of the darkest days. She was content to let us shine while she always walked a step behind. Today you would never know she has suffered the medical issues and more heartache than most people could ever imagine. Please choose our Mom for this amazing gift that she so well deserves.
  •
Pam: My mom is the true definition of a "SuperMom". She supports my brother and I and loves us unconditionally every single day. I am so blessed to have a mother like her who has my back no matter what. She's my rock and I love her to the moon and back!

Elizabeth: Our mom works very hard at her job and at home. She always makes sure we have what we need and never worries about herself. She needs a vacation very bad after her boyfriend was so mean to her. Mom loves the beach!
  •
Carol: She is the bravest woman I know. We lost my dad on Dec. 28th, the day before her birthday. They had been married for 34 years. Things that used to be so simple seemed 10x harder, but she got up and she took care of business. She works hard and deserves a treat.
  •

She's the most genuine person and is as tough as nails inside and out. I look up to her and love her more than she will ever know! I'm blessed to call her Mom. :)

Nancy: To Our Mom Nancy She is very Fancy. She always takes good care of us Even when we all fuss. She also takes care of Daddy and Our Granny Who has a big fanny. Mom hates laundry and can't cook that great And everywhere we go we are usually late. She takes us to all our games and school All our friends think she is pretty cool. Mommy always cheers for us She tells us not to cuss. Mommy has a job and works very hard And also likes to plant flowers in the yard. Sometimes she yells and sometimes she smells. She likes to shop and drink wine and can be very bossy sometimes. Mom always has time to give us a hug She even can kill a bug on the rug. Still we wouldn't trade her for lots of money Because we think she is really funny. Please pick our mom because we are all boys And she could use a break from all our noise. We love our mom and that is a fact! Love, Connor, David, Daddy, and Max
  •
Melissa: She works from 7:30-5:30; goes straight to gym after work; comes home to cook supper, do laundry, wash supper dishes, makes sure me and my brothers homework is done, showers, and spends time with me and my brothers before she goes to bed, and on certain nights of the week she plays on church co-ed softball team.
  •
Nicole: She is the best mom and best friend ever. She deserves to get pampered and treated like royalty. She works so hard to maintain a job, a clean house, and take care of me (17 years old), and my 2 year old little sister, and my step dad. She had me at the age of 15 so her whole life she has been a hard working mom. If anyone deserves it, it would be her!
  •
Melise: My mother is not only Supermom, but Superwoman. She raised my brother and myself after moving us from Portland, Oregon to Charlotte, North Carolina to start fresh. She has worked her way through ups and downs to give her family everything they need and want, while at times sacrificing her own wants and needs. I hope to emulate her strength and character in every way. She is the quintessential SUPERMOM. I tell her everyday that she is "the best momma ever!" but I would love the opportunity to show her in a way where she would be recognized by all of the Ace and TJ family! Thank you for your consideration!
  •
Patti: She is the most considerate loving caring mother in the whole world. She always puts everyone before herself and I love her so much. Being chronically ill I always depend on her so it would be so great to be able to give her something back she would be so overwhelmed.
  •
Karen: My mom is a single mother who raised 3 children. She put her life on hold to ensure we had bright futures. Her support and love did not end when we turned 18, and I am sure it will continue forever. It is now her time to live and enjoy her life and I think this prize package would be an amazing gift to give her!!!
  •
Tiffany: She is only 24 and has gone through so much for my daughter and son. She is in med school and is taking a year off to focus on being a mom! She cooks, cleans, takes care of the kids and never takes time for herself! She's strong and never complains about being a young mom.
  •
Patricia: She could use a pick me up!
