What is quite possibly the Super Bowl of dance music festivals, Tomorrowland 2013 has kicked off with a boom in (fittingly) Boom, Belgium.
Over 7,000 dance music fans made the global journey to Belgium on Tomorrowland planes, operated by Brussels airlines, flying in from New York, Africa, Europe, Tel Aviv, and Moscow, many of which who have set up camp in Tomorrowland's Dreamville. On the plane ride over, fans showed their excitement watching the Tomorrowland 2012 movie in-flight, dancing in their seats, and blasting music. They also enjoyed some Tomorrowland gifts like glow-in-the-dark watches, Tomorrowland sunglasses, a Tomorrowland tote, and Tomorrowland newspaper, getting a glimpse of the weekend they were about to embark on.
Last night Dreamville residents kicked off their weekend at "The Gathering" party with music provided by several DJs, officially welcoming them to Tomorrowland. Dreamville is no ordinary campsite. The people who are staying there this weekend have access to multiple shops, including a tea house and fresh bakery, and much more.
There are a multitude of stages this year, including a jaw-dropping mainstage equipped with powerful Co2 cannons, waterfalls, a volcano, and more. The festival also includes a Dim Mak stage, a Q-Dance stage for hardstyle fans, B2B stage, JACKED stage, and so much more. Each stage is more stunning than the last, with the most intricate and ornate details, ID&T has truly outdone themselves.
Tomorrowland Main Stage - the "Arising of Life"
This weekend, fans can expect sets from all of their favorite DJs - there is literally something for everyone. This year the talent includes Tiesto, Carl Cox, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Crookers, Axwell, Headhunterz, Markus Shulz (who has his own stage for a 12 hour set!), Paul van Dyk, Infected Mushroom, Art Department, and a long list more.
You can catch all the action through the festival's livestream on YouTube. Tomorrow is a mystery...
